"how can you get out? it's impossible to leave the city"

i didn't go to olympia to stay up all night watching movies
i had the feeling that i wasn't really going to leave town

but i stayed up all night anyway, watching movies anyway
painfully bad movies
but the company was good

and then i slept a little and we all had breakfast and knitting
and more movie

and then i was walking home
and suddenly i hesitate, nearly come to a stop
i didn't recognise where i was
and i thought back and wondered if i could have wandered off without noticing
and i stared at the street signs 12th... I live on 12th, don't i?
and the addresses on the doors it seems like the numbers are still counting towards my house

a block later, and everything is familliar again
 and then i'm home
